When exploring Phong Nha, you will step out of your comfort zone and truly and deeply reconnect to nature without being disturbed by the internet, phones, and other devices. Enjoy your time here with your family and kids!
2. The beauty of Phong Nha for families & kids to experience
According to UNESCO, Phong Nha - Kẻ Bàng National Park is the world's most magnificent limestone karst ecosystem because it comprises and protects more than 100 km of caves and underground rivers. Exploring this national park can help your little explorers to discover many terrestrial and aquatic habitats because it covers over 123,000 ha. It also contains many primary and secondary forests, tropical forests, and many marvellous caves such as Phong Nha Cave, Paradise Cave, and the most famous, Sơn Đoòng Cave - the world's largest cave.
Sơn Đoòng Cave is the first and only cave that has a primary forest and an underground river inside with a unique climate. National Geographic believes this is one of the world's most compelling caverns. However, it's not easy to approach Sơn Đoòng Cave. The trip will take four (4) days, so travellers need to be well-trained in trekking to discover this world-class experience. Unlike other caves, Sơn Đoòng Cave limits the number of explorers for conservation purposes. Every year, they only allow 1000 people to explore, from January to August, and only ten (10) people per tour. So, what can you do in Phong Nha - Kẻ Bàng National Park with your family and children? Here are some family-friendly caves in the system you can discover:

You and your family can explore the cave's numerous chambers and admire its magnificent formations.
